     以前，用于残障人士的辅助技术普遍定价高昂，几乎没有定制性，且手语教育和辅助技术仅适用于约2％需要手语的人。许多无法讲话的人几乎没有选择余地，导致聋人（或听力障碍，自闭症，中风和其他先天性疾病）的残障人士高度孤立和失业。我们希望能够通过设计BrightSign智能手套，允许用户教手套自己的手势，而不是局限于特定的手语。一经讲授，该手套即可将这些标志翻译成30多种语言中的任何一种，这意味着用户可以与世界各地的扬声器进行交流。BrightSign伴侣应用还可以收听对话的另一端，并在屏幕上显示语音响应。

     BrightSign is an affordable smart glove, that uses machine learning to allow users who can’t speak to translate any sign (even one they’ve made up themselves), into any language. BrightSign is highly customisable, and allows users to teach the glove their own signs, and selecting a language and voice of their choosing.
